Twitter page - Viral marketing

Our social page - Twitter

Another social media site in which we are using to help promote our music video is Twitter. Twitter like Instagram and Facebook is used worldwide by over million people. This is a great way to promote our video as it allows us to gain followers on her website, as the website can be linked to the Twitter page. Then if we gain more views on the website, then people are more likely to hear about and click on the music video. This also helps the artist to gain more followers as on Twitter you can literally gain followers and promote anything from merchandise to video previews. Plus, Twitter is so easy to access now a days due to the increase in technology. Users can access it from a laptop, computer, smartphone, tablet, even a smart watch! Another thing is that where twitter is used worldwide, it will allow us to broadcast and promote our music video to just about anyone and to our chosen target market.

The screenshot below is a preview of what our twitter page looks like. It features our music video title and the artist image as the profile picture. This allows followers to identify this page as Galantis related. This has been used on all of our social media pages. We have kept to our corporate colour scheme of purple, black and white. It also has the gallants image so that it can be identified. Eventually our music video will be uploaded onto her as well as our other social media pages also. We will be able to also upload previews and little tasters of our music video onto here and show how it is progressing.

Textual Analysis - Sia Chandelier

Sia Chandelier This music video is mainly well known for its  choreography as this is a memorable factor, there is no lip syncing - it is just literally Maddie dancing to the meaning of the song. Performance –  Sia doesn't like to star in her own videos, she has Maddie Ziegler a young girl who dancers throughout for her as a dancer. The performance is of Maddie dancing all around an abandoned, neglected location which is dirty and unpleasant. Lyrics -   The words "swinging from a chandelier" is usually know as a metaphor for partying to excess. As she states in the lyrics "party girls don't get hurt" so if she keeps drinking she won't feel the pain that addictions can eventually give.  She si...

Textual analysis of Toxic - Britney Spears

Britney Spears TOXIC Performance – When she is on the phone, it acts as if she is telling the story whereas the shots of her in her white suit is aimed to be more sexual and less story based. She performs every now and then in her see through suit where she dances and its quicker shots. Whereas when she’s walking on the plane its longer shots and slower crops, the shot on the plane tells more of a narrative. She is sexualised throughout the whole of the music video; however, some parts are more sexualised than others are. Shown by the costumes she is in and also movements, she is quite confident and out there, giving her a powerful image. Although the plane is filled with men she is dominant over them. Lyrics - Helps tell the story or give a general feeling or mood. Don...
