Feedback on our music video
We uploaded our video to the blog. Before doing this we showed people the blog and asked them what they thought of it, they was to state the good things, the bad things and any improvements which were clear that needed to be made. Also, we asked for a rate out of ten for how professional and enjoyable it was.

Here is the feedback we received...

First person
Positives - It was really effective having the different lighting in the past memories.
Negatives - I didn't like the way it had some slow footage and some fast footage.
Improvements - You could've done all of the shots the speed.

Professional -  8/10
Enjoyable -  9/10

Second person
Positives - The things I liked about it was that a variety of different shots.
Negatives - I didn't like the slowness of some of the shots.
Improvements - To improve you could've used some different locations.

Professional -  7/10
Enjoyable -  8/10

Third person
Positives - The thing I liked was that there was a good use of lighting to show the different times.
Negatives - There was a negative point I picked up on which was that it wasn't 100% clear on the artist.
Improvements - An improvement could be that the singer could be brought in at an earlier stage.

Professional -  8/10
Enjoyable - 8/10

Fourth person
Positives - I liked it when the round about shot was displayed as it was different and was effective.
Negatives - It was let down by the long shots, a few were too long and this isn't what a music video does.
Improvements - To improve the video the shots could be fastened up overall on all of them so its constant.

Professional -  7/10
Enjoyable -  8/10

All of the comments we received were constructive criticism and if we was to recreate it, it would help us build an even better music video. We was pleased with the feedback we got on the music video after people had watched it. The positive comments were nice to hear.

Textual Analysis - Sia Chandelier

Sia Chandelier This music video is mainly well known for its  choreography as this is a memorable factor, there is no lip syncing - it is just literally Maddie dancing to the meaning of the song. Performance –  Sia doesn't like to star in her own videos, she has Maddie Ziegler a young girl who dancers throughout for her as a dancer. The performance is of Maddie dancing all around an abandoned, neglected location which is dirty and unpleasant. Lyrics -   The words "swinging from a chandelier" is usually know as a metaphor for partying to excess. As she states in the lyrics "party girls don't get hurt" so if she keeps drinking she won't feel the pain that addictions can eventually give.  She si...

Textual analysis of Toxic - Britney Spears

Britney Spears TOXIC Performance – When she is on the phone, it acts as if she is telling the story whereas the shots of her in her white suit is aimed to be more sexual and less story based. She performs every now and then in her see through suit where she dances and its quicker shots. Whereas when she’s walking on the plane its longer shots and slower crops, the shot on the plane tells more of a narrative. She is sexualised throughout the whole of the music video; however, some parts are more sexualised than others are. Shown by the costumes she is in and also movements, she is quite confident and out there, giving her a powerful image. Although the plane is filled with men she is dominant over them. Lyrics - Helps tell the story or give a general feeling or mood. Don...
