Mood board of digipaks that have inspired you in your planning

This is a mood board of images that we took inspiration from when creating our own digipak. Some of the images we found and wanted to use ideas from on our own and other ones we used as inspiration for the ideas of the cover etc, the pattern on the front or the text styles. We wanted to get different ideas on how we could set ours out and different layouts etc, also we wanted to look at different colours to inspire us for our type of music genre.
is is our mood board full of ideas we have collected -

These images have inspired us in one way or another to help with the designing of ours. We like different aspects from each of them and that's why we have chosen them to help us. These are four different digipaks that we liked personally and got our attention when looking at them. We liked these chosen ones as they all had something different about them.

The first image is the digipak for Rihanna which is in the same genre as ours. We liked the colours used as they are bold and bright, they help emphasis the artist being on the front. Rihanna is being shown as a bold character. We liked that it was constant the whole way through, the colours were the same throughout they are all including red and they all sit really well together.

The next digipak we liked was the Ariana Grande one. We liked that it incorporated the colour black and white to indicate the main image then a nice light coloured lilac background. This is completely the opposite to the Rihanna album but we liked both types of digipaks. The Ariana Grande one is simple and neat, the colours match the image shown on the front. The font type is also neat and positioned nicely onto the page.

Our third digipak we got inspiration from is the Taylor Swift design. From a first glance we liked that it is different it is original, her face isn't actually displayed on the front of the digipak, only half of her face is which means that the artist is not shown directly face view like most digpaks are. The writing of "1989" over the front is effective as it stands out over the lightly coloured background. Again her face is half shown on the back of the digipak however this time she is showing the other end of her head, this time the top.

The last one we chose was Katy Perry's digipak where is was again different, the background is black with a bold image to stand out which brings immediate attention to her, the artist. Katy Perry is brought to the main attention! She is dressed in bizarre clothing which matches the lyrics of her song. The way her CD's are donuts are very creative and the whole digipak is a little crazy which makes it stand out really well as a digipak and a CD cover. The fact that it is reversed to the other digipaks shown because it has a dark black background instead of a light background.

From all of these digipaks chosen they have each given us ideas. We like the idea of the back background like on the Katy Perry digipak however we would like our image to be dull like on the Ariana Grande digpak, with both of them put together it wouldn't work they'd just all clash. We liked the other two digpaks also however our song doesn't really have the same meaning as there songs do therefore we wouldn't use colours like the Rihanna CD does however we liked the inside of the roses so that may be something we use as an idea. The Taylor Swift one is original but again wouldn't suit ours very well. Therefore on ideas to actually take forward and help us build ours would be from Katy Perry's digipak and also Ariana Grande's too.

Website analysis of Dua Lipa

Website Home Page The home page features a black and white theme keeping it simple and modern. The photo featured is of the artist 'Dua Lipa'. This is to show the artist on the main page and this is because that is what her fans want to see when they click onto her website. The use of the male gaze is used as she is seen drawing attention to her lips by holding up the flower to her mouth. This is so that she hits both genders in different ways. There is also a navigation bar featuring white headings that when you hoover over them they underline and this is to help you navigate your way around the website easily. By having the navigation at the top and easy to see just means that they're more likely to keep navigating and exploring the website as the navigation bar will be able to show more things to explore when hovered over. There are also a range of social media logos including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Spotify, Apple and emails.  The

Equipment/Lighting decisions in our music video

Lighting is very important in music videos, as it allows it to be easier to see and also as it sets certain moods and atmospheres. An example of this would be, if we used low amount of lighting then it'll be setting a dull and sad atmosphere which would help highlight the meaning behind the song is not a positive atmosphere. Also the other way round as well, as if a large amount of colour is used then it'll set a more upbeat atmosphere and show that they're more likely to be given a positive media video to see.  Jessie J clip Here is a clip of Jessie J where she has dull lighting which represents the atmosphere as dull and an unhappy situation. The song is of a sad subject, it is negative song lyrics, this is helped by the lighting as its all dull however she is shown with a little more light over her so that she is highlighted as the main  This music video gives an impression of a dull meaning behind it just by the setting and equipment used in the shots, thi

Textual Analysis- Please don't leave me by Pink

Performance: The performance consists of Pink, the artiste dressed as a nurse, but not your typical hospital nurse. it is more of a sexy nurse outfit, which is suppose to appeal to the male gaze. Lyrics:  The song is about a couple with a a controlling girlfriend that is abusive towards her boyfriend, pushing him away but not wanting him to actually leave her. '   "I always say how I don't need you, but it's always gonna come right back to this, please don't leave me." Genre / mise en scene: The song is a Pop rock, dance pop song. whereas the video genre is horror/thriller. Camerawork: The camera is often seen following Pink, there is often the use of low angle that makes Pink appear powerful. Editing: Often the shots are continuous, especially when they are fighting at the start, they are also quite jumpy and choppy to go with their fast actions. There is a lot of back and forth with the use of continuous to show the set and the scenes. I
