This is a template of a digital, it is the typical digital template that would be used when creating one for a CD.
The piece that says "Front" would have an image of either the artist or the main meaning behind the CD/songs. This could be a close up of the artist or just awn image to suit the genre. This is usually the most looked at part of the digipak.
Where is states "Back" this is where the songs are usually listed in the order of how the songs go on the CD. This is usually written in a font that suites the songs and meaning or genre of the album. This would usually be a similar font to what is on the front of the digipak.
The CD where it is drawn above, is the part that sits in the middle. The CD sits in the middle of the digital and the CD usually has some kind of image or decoration on it representing the genre. A lot of the time the CD is something similar to what is shown on the front page and this is so that the whole CD is of a similar layout and design, so it does not look mixed up.
There is six sides to a digipak the front, back, CD and then there is the inside sides of the front and back also and then an extra page to have any photos or designs on there required.
This is an example of a digipak made by another student that we found off of the internet. This shows like the digipak above in the same sort of set out. they can be in a slightly different order or layout, which still sits together well.
As shown on the "Ed Sheeran" digipak, there is one slide/square for the CD, one for the lyrics to go on which would be the back, the front with the artist name, then the other three are there to be used for any additional features or extras. In this case they have used two images then one for a little message/speech from Ed.
This is a typical type of digipak in that images are shown, the title of the album matches the font of the CD and the back of the album too where the song titles are listed. They all have the same colour theme and is all black and white. In terms of the template its self, they're all similar layouts however a few vary.
