Our website

 The website is there to help promote the music video via the website. The website was created via on Wix. This a website that will you help you by providing a template for you to follow and allows you to add your own features and ways onto it by using their basic template. The website allows you to change your font style, add a logo, pictures and set a colour scheme which is the same as your corporate colour of the music video social media, digipak etc.

 The navigation bar at the top features an about the artist section, Home, music, videos, and tour. The use of the website will allow fans of the artist to view and interact with the artist and see the latest news or updates to do with the artist, there will be uploads of music video clips and images of the artist. 
The image below shows the website production progress, you can see from the screenshot that we have chosen a layout, colour scheme. This is the process of the website being created, we have done the main aspects of the website so far.

 As you can see we have chosen a purple and pink colour scheme and the background features the lyrics to the song to help  to match in with our text colours on our social media pages and also on the digipak. The actual layout of the website is simple and the navigation bar makes finding information and updates easy for the viewer.

 


Now there has been more added onto the website. There is more images added and we have been able to upload the music video onto it. We have made sure that it is all completed with similar colours fonts and a style like on our other creations such as our digipak and our social media pages created.

The screenshot below shows the music page of the website. This features information on Galantis's previous songs and has a link that allows you to play the song 'Runaway'. As well as an option to download the song.


 

The next screenshot is of the page called 'Videos' here you will find the new music video for 'Runaway'. As well as any previous music videos for other Galantis videos.


 
 The screenshot below is labelled 'Tour' this is all the tour dates that Galantis touring for their new music video. The tour dates are all in the USA as Galantis are doing a tour around America to begin and then they will do a tour the following year in Europe and Asia.
 
 
The Navigation when scrolled over will highlight to let the user know when they clicking the tab. This makes navigation easier. Also, it is highlighted purple and which again goes with the theme of the rest of the video.

Textual Analysis- Please don't leave me by Pink

Performance: The performance consists of Pink, the artiste dressed as a nurse, but not your typical hospital nurse. it is more of a sexy nurse outfit, which is suppose to appeal to the male gaze. Lyrics:  The song is about a couple with a a controlling girlfriend that is abusive towards her boyfriend, pushing him away but not wanting him to actually leave her. '   "I always say how I don't need you, but it's always gonna come right back to this, please don't leave me." Genre / mise en scene: The song is a Pop rock, dance pop song. whereas the video genre is horror/thriller. Camerawork: The camera is often seen following Pink, there is often the use of low angle that makes Pink appear powerful. Textual analysis of Toxic - Britney Spears

                                                         Britney Spears TOXIC Performance – When she is on the phone, it acts as if she is telling the story whereas the shots of her in her white suit is aimed to be more sexual and less story based. She performs every now and then in her see through suit where she dances and its quicker shots. Whereas when she’s walking on the plane its longer shots and slower crops, the shot on the plane tells more of a narrative. She is sexualised throughout the whole of the music video; however, some parts are more sexualised than others are.
