Evaluation 3 - What have you learned from your audience feedback ?

What have we learnt?

Our website

This is some feedback we received back on our website  -
The colours were well set out, the colours sit well together. The purple text at the bottom against the background sits well and it is neat. There could be more images added onto the website page so that it wasn't all text shown on the page.
We learnt
We learnt that all text on the website was sat nicely and the same text recurred throughout so that we knew we had done it well.

Our digipak
This is some feedback we received back on our digipak -
From this feedback it helped us learn from any mistakes we made and get some positive feedback in return so that it can help us in the future.

We learnt
Some people gave us feedback which was spoke so they could give us genuine feedback back as soon as they'd looked at the digipak and they didn't have time to think about the feedback they would've typed. This was more realistic feedback where it was mentioned that it wasn't the most eye catching digipak they'd ever seen.
Our music video
This is some feedback that we received back from our music video -
This feedback helped us learn for the future. It helped us realise that
We learnt
We learn't that a few of our shots were too long and not snappy enough,in some cases we agreed however in a few others we felt that it wasn't fair as some shots we wanted to be long as we were telling a story during the song it wasn't a performance based video where there would have been far more dancing and faster shots to go with the music, we wanted to make ours different by slower cuts and not as many. Also the shots being longer not the typical fast moving shots, however a lot of it does include fast cuts and lots of fast moving shots we felt all of the longer held shots were appropriate and done in the correct places. However we received a mixture of opinions, some saying it was effective and made  you want to watch more however some said it should've been held for a slightly less time.

Textual Analysis - Sia Chandelier

Sia Chandelier This music video is mainly well known for its  choreography as this is a memorable factor, there is no lip syncing - it is just literally Maddie dancing to the meaning of the song. Performance –  Sia doesn't like to star in her own videos, she has Maddie Ziegler a young girl who dancers throughout for her as a dancer. The performance is of Maddie dancing all around an abandoned, neglected location which is dirty and unpleasant. Lyrics -   The words "swinging from a chandelier" is usually know as a metaphor for partying to excess. As she states in the lyrics "party girls don't get hurt" so if she keeps drinking she won't feel the pain that addictions can eventually give.  She si...

Textual analysis of Toxic - Britney Spears

Britney Spears TOXIC Performance – When she is on the phone, it acts as if she is telling the story whereas the shots of her in her white suit is aimed to be more sexual and less story based. She performs every now and then in her see through suit where she dances and its quicker shots. Whereas when she’s walking on the plane its longer shots and slower crops, the shot on the plane tells more of a narrative. She is sexualised throughout the whole of the music video; however, some parts are more sexualised than others are. Shown by the costumes she is in and also movements, she is quite confident and out there, giving her a powerful image. Although the plane is filled with men she is dominant over them. Lyrics - Helps tell the story or give a general feeling or mood. Don...
